Rethinking
how people organize
what they want to watch
UX/UI Design · Concept Project · 2025
Overview
A conceptual redesign of Netflix’s “My List” feature, exploring how people organize and revisit content over time.
The project shifts the experience from passive saving to more intentional, personalized collections.
Problem
Netflix’s “My List” feature allows users to save titles in a single, flat list without categorization, personalization, or sharing. This limits how users engage with saved content over time.
Titles are typically added to watch later, then removed after viewing, with no way to revisit what was previously liked or enjoyed.
As the list grows, the lack of structure makes it difficult to find, remember, or organize content, and there is no built-in way to create custom collections or share lists.
The Shift
From a single, flat list to a more structured and personal way of organizing content.
The experience shifts toward custom collections that allow users to revisit what they enjoyed, build their own lists, and share them easily.
